It’s not uncommon for someone who is wondering how to lucid dream to look for lucid dreaming supplements at some time in their research. This is mostly because many people don’t get a good enough night’s sleep to be successful at lucid dreaming. Like I said in previous posts, you should try lucid dreaming closer to morning when you’re not soooo tired.
Many people have heard that Vitamin B6 or B12 work as lucid dreaming supplements. Some have success with them, some do not. What is known is that Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) has a role in brain and nerve functioning. You can get the recommended daily amount of vitamin B6 (1.3 mg) by eating carrots, oranges, bananas, spinach, fish, liver, chicken, eggs, beans and nuts. However, in order to have vitamin B6 dreams, you will need to be getting about 100 mg in your lucid dreaming supplements.
One of the best lucid dreaming supplements we came across for those learning how to have a lucid dream was the Lucidia dream enhancement pill. It was specifically developed for those who want to get a good night’s sleep and/or have intense lucid dreams. The ingredient list includes:
- Lotus Leaf
- Green Tangerine Peel
- Atractylodes Rhizome
- Bitter Orange
- Green Tea
- Vaccaria Seed
A couple of interesting facts about these ingredients:
Bitter Orange: We mentioned above that you could get some of your recommended daily allowance of vitamin B6 by eating oranges. Bitter orange is a much stronger herb than just a regular orange.
Ginger: According to Wikipedia,
“Preliminary research indicates that nine compounds found in ginger may bind to human serotonin receptors, possibly helping to affect anxiety.”
In case you’re wondering, Wikipedia also has this to say about human serotonin receptors:
“The serotonin receptors modulate the release of many neurotransmitters, including glutamate, GABA, dopamine, epinephrine / norepinephrine, and acetylcholine, as well as many hormones, including oxytocin, prolactin, vasopressin, cortisol, corticotropin, and substance P, among others. The serotonin receptors influence various biological and neurological processes such as aggression, anxiety, appetite, cognition, learning, memory, mood, nausea, sleep, and thermoregulation.”
Now if you’re not a scientist or a pharmacist, this is probably all a little Greek (it is to me at least!). Basically, Ginger can not only calm you down by reducing anxiety and helping you get a good night’s sleep but as a possible beta blocker it can help keep the heart rate low so you don’t get into a fight or flight situation while having an especially exciting lucid dream. It you get too stressed out during your dream, you’ll wake up and miss out on half the fun.
Valerian root and chamomile can also help you have longer dreams.
“Bupleurum is essential for relieving blocks to help body energy flow freely, but is also good for you in that it eliminates toxins and relives imbalances and tension in the body.
A few of the other ones you may recognize, but maybe not. They are all either Japanese or Chinese herbs that have a long history of not only helping the body cleanse itself but also to help with anxiety and depression.
I won’t get into full detail about all the ingredients on the list but suffice it to say that the proper mixture of these ingredients in lucid dreaming supplements can greatly enhance your lucid dreaming experience. And that’s why “Lucidia is the #1 selling dream enhancement pill” for those who are learning how to lucid dream!
