As we sleep, and our unconscious mind takes over, we start to think and ponder events which would never happen in the waking world. Then, as sleep takes over, we begin to dream. Usually at first the dreamer isn’t aware of the dreams that are going on. But now it has been discovered that people CAN remember their dreams, and as they practice remembering, they can have a lucid dream and start participating in the dream.
This is a great unique dream experience and is usually remembered quite vividly since the dreamer probably perfected a few practiced lucid dreaming techniques and was an active participant in the dream.
In order to have a lucid dream, the dreamer needs to be aware that he/she is dreaming. But just because the dreamer can follow a lucid dream how to instruction, it still doesn’t happen all the time.
